Mauro Berenstein, president of the Delegation of Argentine Jewish Associations (DAIA), stated that following the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, "the victims of the attacks can sleep a little more peacefully." In an interview with Radio Rivadavia, reported by the Argentine News Agency, Berenstein confirmed that "the most transcendental event, despite the pain of the war, is Khamenei's death, who was the political, ideological, and financial mastermind of the attacks in Argentina, both against the Israeli embassy and the AMIA, where more than 100 people died." Therefore, he indicated that "speaking of justice is very difficult, but now the victims of the attacks can sleep a little more peacefully." The leader explained that "last year, the justice system declared Iran responsible for the AMIA bombing."
